Chocolate Souffle
Chocolate Souffle

Okay. Don’t be deceived. They LOOK much better than they tasted.
I made these “self-saucing chocolate coffee pudding” things--found on a blog of someone who looks awesome (recipe here). I actually didn’t mind them--but the feedback I got was pretty neutral (which means bad but that they were trying to be nice). I noticed a few problems.
1. as much as they look like mini brownie delicious bites, they are more like souffles. If someone can actually tell me what a souffle is, i’d be proud and gracious. They were very egg-y. which i was okay with because that’s what they were supposed to be. But I didn’t beat the eggs, so they aren’t a souffle, right? WHAT ARE THEY?!?!
2.The measurements on the blog were in the metric system. I got frustrated by the conversion, so I just started putting stuff in. I should have put in more chocolate.
3.Yeah, more chocolate. I melted dark chocolate and put it in. Could have used a lot more.
4.Self-Saucing? I didn’t really get that part. A bit more explanation would have been FANTASTIC!
All in all. It was a good attempt at something that looked SO tasty. If someone else wants to try it with more chocolate, let me know how it is. Just don’t tell people they are going to taste like a cake. it won’t.
